Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo is calling for a ban on a black feminist festival which she says is “prohibited to white people.”
The event, called “Nyansapo Festival”, is taking place from July 28-30 in Paris and will be separated into different areas based on race and gender, with four-fifths of it dedicated exclusively to black women—no whites allowed!
There will also be a black-only section for any gender, and one small area “open to all.”
The Paris Mayor added that she might even “prosecute the organizers for discrimination.”
Police Prefect Michel Delpuech said in a statement that the police “would ensure the rigorous compliance of the laws, values, and principles of the republic.”
The International League against Racism and Antisemitism said, “Rosa Parks would be turning in her grave.”
The festival’s organizers have spoken out, saying they are the “target of a disinformation campaign and of ‘fake news’ orchestrated by the foulest far right”, adding, “we are saddened to see certain anti-racist associations letting themselves be manipulated like this.”

Despite growing opposition to the festival’s anti-white bigotry, black feminists on social media claim they are the victims of racism:
@MwasiCollectif Remember: Anne Hidalgo is the *Socialist* mayor of Paris. This attack on Afrofeminism from 'left allies' is all too typical.

@Anne_Hidalgo This is racist white feminism on steroids. And the absolute failure of the French left. Disgusting..

Dear @Anne_Hidalgo – black feminists are not criminals for wanting to discuss their oppression without their oppressor in the room. Lay off.
