In a display of disgusting rudeness, Univision reporter Jorge Ramos proved the self-centered entitlement that defines illegal immigrants: “Only I matter, let me in first, screw the rule of law, screw everyone else!”
At a Tuesday press conference, Trump was about to take questions from a room of eager yet patient reporters, when suddenly Jorge Ramos-clearly on a hit-job assignment from Univision-stood up and began attacking the Republican candidate with questions-completely out of line and disregarding the pre-established rules of the conference.
Whereas everyone else had to wait in line to ask Trump a question, Ramos ironically proved every disgusting (yet true) stereotype about illegal immigrants-and those who defend them.
Ramos skipped the line. He disregarded other people’s existence. He rudely, narcissitically, and self-centeredly ignored everyone else’s lives, and bulldozed onto the scene, taking over and pointing the spotlight of victimhood on him as if he did not just victimize the entire room of reporters by “skipping the line” they all patiently (and politely) were waiting in.
Just like press conferences, people have to wait in line when it comes to getting granted legal status within a new country. As the process of getting a green card is a long and tiring one, applicants can check their place in the queue by regularly looking at the Visa Bulletin to see how close they are to receiving one. The disappointing actions of Ramos put a bad name on some of the people who are in the same situation as him in wanting to start a new life in a different country.
And isn’t this essentially a reflection of what illegal immigration fundamentally is? It’s about a handful (well, more than that) of bad apples saying “screw you!” to pre-established rules designed to ensure organization and order-and then immediately turning around and playing the victim when people dare criticize their disruptive behavior.
But you see, isn’t this the self-centered entitlement that defines illegal immigrants, who apparently feel so deserving of a precious spot in America that they’ll skip everyone else who legally waits patiently in line?
Jorge Ramos proved something very telling about the mentality that underpins illegal immigration-as well as the bleeding-heart liberalism that seeks to justify it: a bunch of self-centered “pseudo-victims” who bully their way to the front of the line, screwing over everyone else and then acting like they’ve done nothing wrong.
Let us not allow professional victims to guilt us into pandering to untruths and false narratives. Trump is probably the only candidate with the backbone to stand up to the unrelenting abuse America has faced for decades from “foreigners” who claim to love America enough to enter illegally, yet completely disrespect and trample over its laws.
